Introduction
 

The MSc (ELBT) programme will synergize with the existing Master of Science in Biotechnology (BIOT) programme, and the Master of Science in Drug Regulatory Affairs and Policy (DRAP) programme which was launched in September 2024. Together, these programmes will position HKUST as a leading institution in biotechnology education, offering a comprehensive suite of programmes that cover both the technical and entrepreneurial aspects of the industry. While the BIOT programme emphasizes the scientific and technical aspects of biotechnology, and the DRAP programme focuses on regulatory affairs and policy, the ELBT programme focuses on entrepreneurial leadership and management training, creating a holistic ecosystem for biotech education at HKUST that aligns with the academic profile of the Division of Life Science.
